FAQs

How many diapers will I receive?

The number of diapers you receive will depend upon the age and size of your baby and the level of modern diapering that you choose. You will receive a weekly diaper request form where you can request as many cloth as you need and disposables based on your subscription level.

How does diaper service billing work?

On the day you sign up, you'll pay for the first month of service. You will receive your first delivery 1-2 weeks before your due date, or about 1 week after you order if you are starting immediately.

For those that have their initial delivery dropped off before the baby arrives, please fill out the Baby Announcement form letting us know you are ready for your first batch of dirty diapers to be picked up. We will contact you to let you know when your delivery day will be.

The first month of service won't actually start until the day we pick up the first batch of dirties, so feel free to sign up as far in advance as you would like (but please try to give us at least two weeks!).

Depending on when you start service, your first recurring payment may be pro-rated. Going forward, your saved payment method will be charged for each month in advance on the 1st of the month.

Do you service apartment buildings?

Many of our customers live in apartment buildings and we find that each situation is different. Ideally, we would have access to get inside the building (with a key or code) and swap the diapers out side your apartment main door. We can also leave diapers in the lobby or outside in a concealed spot. Please contact us to discuss the specifics of your building.

What do I need to get started with cloth diapering?

We will provide most of what you will need to use our service: cloth diapers, diaper pail, pail liners, and bamboo disposables.

The only thing you will have to buy separate are diaper covers, the amount you will need will depend on the amount of cloth diapering you do and the frequency of when you want to clean your covers. Starting out you will probably want 3-4 covers minimum, you can always find a nice selection in our web store. There are many great retailers out there with new and innovative designs.

On our web store you will also find other diaper accessories for purchase.

What about diaper rash?

The great news is that although many babies suffer from diaper rash from time to time, you will generally see fewer and less severe outbreaks when you cloth diaper your baby!

In the event that your baby does have an outbreak, please do not use diaper rash creams that contain cod liver oil or petrolatum as these can cause residue buildup over time, staining the diapers and reducing their absorption.

What is your wash process?

Our wash process uses a combination of very hot water and a commercial detergent which has been scientifically proven to rinse away completely. A trace amount of chlorine in each wash ensures that our diapers are completely sanitized after each and every use and multiple rinse cycles ensure that absolutely no residue is left behind -- just clean, soft cotton. Our diapers are periodically PH tested to ensure the wash process is calibrated for baby's skin.

Do I need to rinse the diapers before I put them in the pail?

No rinsing or scraping needed! While your baby is being exclusively breast- or formula-fed, simply toss the dirty diaper into the lined diaper pail.

Once Baby starts eating solid foods, you may plunk the poo into the toilet before putting the diaper into the diaper pail to reduce odor.

This process makes for a super-easy, super-clean diaper change. The best part? An odor-free diaper pail!
